Refused

A influente banda de hardcore sueca Refused foi formada em 1991 pelo vocalista Dennis Lyxzén, guitarristas Jon Brannsrom e Kristofer Steen, baixista Magnus Höggren, e o baterista David Sandström. Estreando em 1993 com o EP This Is the New Deal, o grupo lançou o álbum This Just Might Be - The Truth mais tarde naquele mesmo ano. O Eterno EP seguido, em 1994, e em 1995 Refused voltou com outro EP, Refused Loves Randy. Após o álbum de1996, Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent, eles lançaram o EP Rather Be Dead. Na sequência da realização do clássico de 1998, The Shape of Punk to Come, Refused acaba, incapaz de conciliar as suas inclinações anarquista com uma carreira na música.
